Ingredients
Scale
- 3 large carrots, peeled and cut into thin fries
- 1–2 tsp avocado oil or olive oil (or spray oil)
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 3 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
- Optional: 1 tsp cornstarch for crispiness
- Optional toppings: chili flakes, dried parsley, ranch seasoning
Instructions
- Prep the Carrots: Peel and cut carrots into ¼-inch thick fry shapes for even cooking.
- Season: In a bowl, toss carrot fries with oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and parmesan. For extra crispiness, add cornstarch.
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Set air fryer to 400°F and let it preheat for 2–3 minutes.
- Cook: Place carrots in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 8–12 minutes, shaking halfway through.
- Finish: Sprinkle with additional toppings like more parmesan or chili flakes and serve hot with your favorite dip.
Notes
Cut the fries evenly for consistent results. Avoid overcrowding the air fryer basket—cook in batches if needed. For an oil-free option, skip the oil and use a dusting of cornstarch instead. These fries are best served fresh but can be reheated in the air fryer at 375°F for 3–4 minutes.
