Ingredients
Scale
- 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 6 oz each)
- 2 tablespoons aged balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon low-sodium soy sauce (or coconut aminos)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
Instructions
- Prep the Chicken: Pound the chicken breasts to 1/2-inch thickness for even cooking.
- Marinate: Place the chicken in a Ziploc bag with balsamic vinegar, olive oil, soy sauce, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Seal and marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, or overnight.
- Oven Method: Preheat oven to 400°F. Place marinated chicken in a baking dish and bake for 30–35 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Grill Method: Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Cook chicken for 5–7 minutes per side or until cooked through.
- Rest and Serve: Let chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve with your favorite sides and optional balsamic glaze drizzle.
Notes
For extra flavor, use aged balsamic vinegar. You can also add honey to the marinade for a sweeter finish. This recipe works well with chicken thighs, too — just adjust cooking time accordingly.
